Before you request options
List furniture and boxes room by room. Decide what stays, what ships and what travels with you. Identify any vehicle, fragile piece or storage need. Write down both addresses and a realistic date range.
Before pickup
Confirm building or gated access and loading rules at your Puerto Rico home. Ask who handles packing, what documentation you receive and how to update the inventory. Put essentials, medication, IDs, keys and critical documents aside for travel.
Before delivery
Make sure somebody can receive the shipment at the final mainland address. Confirm parking, elevators, permits or entry codes where relevant. Save your service agreement and ask how the provider shares status updates.
