Decide how the vehicle fits the move
Tell the provider the year, make, model and whether the car operates normally. State where it is in Puerto Rico and where you want to receive it on the mainland. Ask whether door pickup, terminal drop-off and onward transportation are available for your route.
Prepare before handoff
Ask the actual vehicle shipping provider for its current preparation, identification and document requirements before you go to a drop-off point. Photograph the vehicle’s condition and keep copies of handoff paperwork. Do not assume household boxes can ride in the vehicle.
Coordinate arrival
The car and household goods may be handled under separate arrangements. Ask about each delivery point, the notification process, who can collect the car and what changes if your flight or housing date shifts. Get the agreed scope and charges in writing.
